Term: Two years, with the option of renewal by election for a maximum of one additional year.
- Maintain an active membership of the BCTF
- Provide leadership and direction to the BCAMT; be answerable to its members
- Act as a primary contact person for the BCAMT
- Be familiar and understand the content of the BCAMT constitution
- Create the agenda and lead all Executive Committee meetings
- Chair all Table Officer meetings
- Create the agenda and lead the AGM
- Oversee elections, voting procedures and the sharing of results and elections
- Plan and lead the annual Think Tank meeting
- Attend all BCTF PSAC meetings
- Ensure a safe and inclusive meeting and working environment
- Oversee all BCAMT Committees
- Sit as a member of the Election, Conference, Award and Grant committees
- Lead collaboration to develop BCAMT vision and goals
- Problem-solve and delegate responsibilities to achieve BCAMT goals
- Conduct follow-up to ensure BCAMT projects are progressing
- Oversee all financial transactions and decisions
- Travel to provide professional learning outreach around BC
- Liaise with the BCTF and ensure BCAMT’s compliance with BCTF rules and accountability
- Uphold and communicate BCTF messages and directions
- Be familiar and understand the content of the PSA Members’ Guide
- Communicate regularly through emails, newsletters, and Vector introductions to BCAMT members
- Represent the BCAMT to outside agencies, including media
- Represent the BCAMT as an affiliate to the NCTM and the NCSM, including travel to meetings in the USA
- Liaise with the Ministry of Education regarding mathematics education and curriculum
- Maintain liaison with post-secondary institutions with regards mathematics entry requirements

- Attend the AGM
- Attend and help plan the annual Think Tank meeting
- Sit as a member of the Election, Conference, Award and Grant committees

- Oversee website updates and improvements
- Travel to provide professional learning outreach around BC
- Present at the BCAMT Fall and Northwest Mathematics Conferences
- Uphold and communicate BCTF messages and directions to BCAMT members
- Have sufficient knowledge of the PSA Members’ Guide
- Help ensure BCAMT’s compliance with BCTF rules and accountability
Term: Three years, can stand for re-election
- Maintain an active membership in the BCTF
- Provide leadership and direction within the BCAMT
- Know and understand the BCAMT constitution
- Attend all Executive Committee and Table Officer meetings
- Attend the AGM
- Attend the annual Think Tank meeting
- Attend BCTF Treasurer meetings
- Checks expense claims and authorizes payments against budget lines
- Reconciles transactions against statements
- Reports to PSA executive on the financial standing of the BCAMT
- Liaise with BCTF accounting
- Produce annual PSA budget statements
- Maintain complete financial records: cheque requisitions, expense vouchers, deposit forms, statements of accounts, and PSA generated G6G7 LOA letters
- Produce and oversee budgets for special events such as conferences, and submits conference financial reports to the BCTF
- Be available to present at the BCAMT Fall and Northwest Mathematics Conferences
- Travel to provide professional learning outreach around BC
- Uphold and communicate BCTF messages and directions
- Have sufficient knowledge of the PSA Members’ Guide
- Help ensure BCAMT’s compliance with BCTF rules and accountability
Term: Three years, can stand for re-election
- Maintain an active membership in the BCTF
- Provide leadership and direction within the BCAMT
- Know and understand the BCAMT constitution
- Attend all Executive Committee and Table Officer meetings
- Attend the AGM
- Attend the annual Think Tank meeting
- Record and present minutes at Saturday Executive and Think Tank meetings
- Regularly communicate meeting minutes to the BCTF
- Document and record archives in the BCAMT Google Drive
- Maintain and update the member email database
- Edit and publish BCAMT eNews
- Maintain IT infrastructure / accounts (Slack / Google / Web Hosting / PHPlist / GNU Mailman)
- Be available to present at the BCAMT Fall and Northwest Mathematics Conferences
- Provide professional learning outreach around BC
- Uphold and communicate BCTF messages and directions
- Have sufficient knowledge of the PSA Members’ Guide
- Help ensure the BCAMT’s compliance with the BCTF rules and accountability
Term: One year, can stand for re-election
- Maintain an active associate or affiliate membership in the BCTF
- Be an active participant and leader in the BCAMT initiatives and endeavours
- Uphold and communicate BCTF messages and directions
- Have sufficient knowledge of the PSA Members’ Guide
- Attend all Executive Committee meetings, including the annual Think Tank meeing
- Contribute to the realization and fulfilment of the BCAMT’s vision and goals
- Chair a BCAMT committee: Membership, Awards, Election, Vector
- Be a member of one or more BCAMT committees
- Attend and assume a role in the BCAMT Fall and Northwest mathematics conferences
- Be available to present at the BCAMT Fall and Northwest Mathematics conferences
- Provide professional learning outreach around BC
- Write or recruit writers for the BCAMT Vector journal
- Plus one or more of the member-at-large positions below
