Dear BCAMT Membership,

I am happy to announce the release of the final documents for the Grade 10-12 Mathematics Curriculum. The Ministry has released these documents to share with all of you.

Please share the link to this page with your colleagues around BC.

Many teachers around the province helped shape these final curriculum documents either by being on the writing committee or by providing feedback to the Ministry. On behalf of the BCAMT, I’d like to thank these teachers for their time, their knowledge and their critical and constructive feedback.

Some of the members of the BCAMT executive have been involved in the process from the very beginning.  This involvement went beyond revising, writing and reviewing the new curriculum. By being there every step of the way, the BCAMT had three important roles: provide knowledge and expertise, critically question decision-making and strongly advocate for BC Math teachers. It was exciting to be part of a large team of teachers from across our province who represented different perspectives and backgrounds.

BCAMT President

All curriculum documents on this page are created by the Ministry of Education. Hosting on the BCAMT site is offered as a stop-gap service to help teachers access information as quickly as possible. Reasons for publishing delays on the Ministry’s own website are as follow:

  1. HTML versions are not ready yet: pdfs can be shared easily on the BCAMT site
  2. The French translations of documents need to be completed
  3. Other courses are not complete and are to be uploaded at the same time

“The grade 10 courses will go live on the website in April 2018 and the 11 and 12 courses will be posted in PDF and Word in June 2018. The 11 and 12 will not appear live until the following year when they are scheduled to be implemented.”
