The BCAMT listserv is an excellent way to get the latest developments first hand and also provide yourself with an arena to be heard. The listserv connects math teachers who are ready and willing to share advice and expertise.  There are two convenient ways to sign up:
1. Email– to ask to get manually added to the list
2. Send an email to and go through an automated process

Vector Magazine

Vector is the flagship journal of the BCAMT. It has a history going back to the early 60’s with close to 150 issues published.  The articles published in Vector are written by teachers, mathematics education researchers, and mathematicians.  We welcome a wide variety of contributions.

Conferences and workshops are occurring regularly during the school year!  These are either hosted by the BCAMT or other district organizations.  To see what’s happening visit:

Awards and Grants

Each year BCAMT honours exemplary math teaching through five awards: our most notable, the Ivan L. Johnson Memorial Award, provides an expenses-paid trip to the NCTM conference.  Every year we also offer up to $5000 to further mathematics education in BC. Don’t miss out on these great opportunities
